Last updated: July 2026. These placeholder terms describe how quote requests and removalist bookings with Local Moving are handled. Please contact us before your move if you have any questions.
1. Quote requests
Submitting the quote form is a request for an estimate only. It does not form a booking or a binding contract. We will contact you using the details you provide to discuss your move and confirm pricing in writing.
2. Pricing & hourly rates
Advertised rates are indicative and depend on crew size, truck size and access. Time is billed portal-to-portal from our depot. Any additional fees (e.g. tolls, materials) will be disclosed in writing before the job begins.
3. Bookings & cancellations
Bookings are confirmed once we send you a written confirmation of the date, address and rate. Cancellations made with less than 24 hours' notice may incur a fee equal to the minimum call-out.
4. Your responsibilities
You are responsible for arranging suitable parking and building access, disclosing heavy or fragile items, and ensuring goods are ready to be moved on the day. Please let us know in advance about stairs, lifts and any restricted access.
5. Insurance & liability
Our crews carry public liability and goods-in-transit cover. Certain items (cash, jewellery, important documents, plants) are excluded from cover — please transport these yourself. Full cover terms are available on request.
6. Privacy
Contact details you provide are used only to respond to your quote request and to service your move. We do not sell or share your information with third parties for marketing.
